A few months ago, I made the decision to join JCI (Junior Chamber International), and looking back, it remains one of the best decisions I have made this year.
What I appreciate most about being a member is the people and the culture of service. JCI has shown me that meaningful impact is often found in the little things, community sensitization, environmental sustainability initiatives, and simple acts of service that many people overlook.
Over the past few months, I have gained a deeper appreciation for giving back to the community you belong to. These seemingly small actions create lasting change, and you may never fully understand their importance until you find yourself in rooms where such conversations are happening and people are actively working to make a difference.
I also want to commend the rigorous approach JCIN FUTO takes with its intending members' classes. At first, I wasn't entirely comfortable with the process, but as time went on, I began to understand the purpose behind it. It is designed to build character, commitment, and a genuine understanding of what JCI stands for.
One of the biggest reasons I joined JCI was because it aligns with The Sprint Year, my personal commitment to continuous growth and self-development. Being part of JCI has taught me that commitment and continues to challenge me to become a better leader, a better citizen, and a better version of myself every day.
